The Camp Fire USA School Age program provides a safe and supportive environment that meets the needs of parents concerned about the safety of their children when not in school. Program activities include indoor and outdoor games, sports, arts and crafts and community service projects. Through these activities children develop friendships, conflict resolution, peer pressure resistance, planning and decision making.

Trained staff members (bilingual at all sites) deliver the Camp Fire USA school age care year-round. Staff positions are based on Early Childhood Education units taken by the employee. Two centers provide all-day care during the school year, with the other three offering after-dismissal care. For summer vacation and school spring/fall/New year’s breaks centers are open from 6 or 7 a.m. – 6 p.m. Services are also available for Oxnard Elementary School students during their “off-track” breaks at the Bard Elementary School program site.
